Wednesdays 6.30 - 7.45 pm Beginners Cuban Salsa
8.00 - 9.30 pm Introduction to LA style
Place: Secret Garden Entertainment, Worthing, Ch. Ch
Our Salsa Courses are divided into 6 levels:
Beginners, Improvers Level 1 & 2, Intermediate Level 1 & 2 and Advanced.
We focus on Cuban Salsa, but explore it all...
All Salsa Caribe Instructors and assistants are professionally trained by Salsita to make learning salsa a fun and easy experience.
We guide students by providing proper step-by-step technique, timing, and execution of each turn pattern and move presented on our continuously growing curriculum.
In our exciting, high-energy environment each student progresses at his/her own pace; continue at each level till you feel totally comfortable with what is taught and then move on to the next level.
If you're a Total Beginner, don't worry –
Salsa will be a new experience for most in your group.
In the beginners course you will get started on the ‘right foot’ (actually the left....)You will become comfortable with Timing, Rhythm, Body Movement and Footwork before dancing with a partner.
At the Improvers, Intermediate and Advanced levels we teach Shines, which is footwork you can use while breaking away from you partner, Turn Patterns and Moves for couples as well as Rueda de Casino.
No need to bring a partner , actually a lot of people come alone
The classes are full of people to dance with and we rotate partners.
Dancewear & Shoes - Dress comfortably, with clothes that allows you to move freely and your teacher to see your moves. You will work up a sweat so bring an extra shirt and/or a face towel!
Wear comfortable shoes which sits on your feet properly. Real dance shoes are great or leather sole shoes. Avoid rubber soles, because it is like wearing brakes. No hard bottom shoes are allowed in the studio as they mark up the aerobics floor which we dance on.
Private LessonsWe offer private lessons by appointment. Make your own personalized schedule with the instructor of your choice. Please call or email for more information and to make an appointment.
Semi-Private Lessons
If you have a small group of individuals who want to learn to dance together in a private class, we can accommodate your group. Classes can be held at your own specified location or at our studio in Worthing
Private lessons are a great option for those who:
Have unpredictable schedules and cannot commit to a 10 week course
Want to learn at a faster pace
Have prior dance experience and would like catch up to a higher level
Want to join their friends in a higher level
Want to hone the skills gained in the group classes
Want to gain additional skills to enhance their group lesson instruction
General Tips:
Look at and Smile to your partner
Apologize if you do happen to knock into someone, share the dance floor!
Personal Hygiene is a MUST! Eat a mint, use a deodorant, bring a face towel or tissues and even a extra shirt if you perspire a lot
It can be a bit intermediating to ask someone or being asked to dance. Just be polite and if you say No it is considered etiquette not to dance with someone else until the next song.
